Bailey | Senior | South East, KS

Happy Monday!! :)

I wanted to help brighten your Monday but showing you some of Bailey's awesome senior pictures. I had a great time planning and taking Bailey's pictures. I loved talking to her about her outfits and locations before hand. We started the session off at my parents creek and my dad helped me lower down my vintage chair. That chair is really getting it's workout these days!  I'm so thankful for having such a handy dad, he makes a great assistant. I was loving the pictures down in the creek, despite the lack of water and horrible stinky creek smell. Good thing pictures, don't capture smells right? :) Even though, it was high 90's when were taking pictures, you never would have none by the way Bailey acted. She was rocking her pictures and the heat wasn't going to stop her.  Bailey is so beautiful and I was impressed with how well she did the "serious" face. She has the most beautiful eyes, I'm slightly jealous of  them. It was such a pleasure spending the evening with Bailey & her step-mom. Bailey's step-grandpa is one of the kindest men I know and I can tell that he passed that onto his family. I can't wait to take their family photos later this fall.  I'm going to go ahead an apologize for the over whelming amount of pictures on this blog. I hard a time narrowing down my favorites. I love them all!! I hope you enjoy them, too! Feel free to share your thoughts.

Canaday Family | Mini Session | South East, KS

Last Saturday night, I had the pleasure of taking my brother's family pictures. His daughter Bristol is almost three months old and so cute. She's so small and dainty, like a little baby doll. She is usually really smiley but she was pretty "stone" faced during our session. She still looked adorable though better than an unhappy baby, right? I'm hosting mini sessions in Independence next month and they were kind enough to be my models for my mini session ad. I wasn't able to narrow down just 5 images that I loved from their session, so I'm showing you more than what I'm giving people for their mini sessions next month. They're such a cute little family. I love that I get to be the fun Aunt that captures their family portraits for them to look back on. Enjoy!!

Fall Mini Sessions Announcement | South East, KS

Happy Monday!!!

I'm finally posting the information about the fall mini sessions coming up next month in Independence, KS! I will be hosting the mini sessions on October 4 & 5. I have 3 times slots in the evening for each day. However, if for some reason I have an overwhelming amount of people wanting to schedule a mini session, I may open up a couple times in the morning on October 5. Keep in mind these mini sessions are best for updating portraits. They're quick 15 minute sessions. I would strongly recommend contacting me about my regular sessions ( 30 or 1 hour) if you feel like you need more than 15 minutes.

The mini sessions are $60 for 15 minutes & 5 digital images. I'm going to edit up to 8-10 images and there will be an option to purchase additional images for $10 per picture. In order to save your time slot, I'll need a signed contract & full paid mini session price ( $60).

Sister Love | Family | South East, KS

I always love taking pictures of my friends and I've been planning to do a "just for fun" session with my friend Kerri all summer. Finally, it worked out that we'd both be home for a weekend. Kerri asked if I'd also take some pictures of her triplet cousins because they were also in town. Her cousins are super cute but a tad bit shy but Kerri did a great job at helping me get them to smile beautifully. Kerri loves cows and has been wanting me to take a picture of cows for her office at work. ( She went to K-state for something Ag related.) :) Her grandpa owns some cows and as I was taking pictures of them feeding them, one kept trying to come up and lick my toes. haha Her grandpa thought it was pretty funny. I was pretty stoked though because I even got to feed a cow. :) I don't do that every day.  It was pretty fun evening despite the SUPER hot, sticky heat. This also happened to be my first session as an official full time photographer. Alright, no more ramblings from me, check out these pretty ladies!

Brian & Kylie | Engagement | South East, KS

I'm over the moon excited about this couple. Brian has been friends with my husband for a long time. They were actually roommates when my husband proposed to me. I was thrilled when I found out he was engaged but even more so that he was engaged to Kylie.  She's one of the sweetest girls I know and I'm so happy Brian found such an amazing women.  They both love the Lord so much and I know they're going to have an amazing God centered marriage. :)

As I was location hunting for their engagement session, I came across the cutest little property. It was literally perfect and so worth the drive. I loved the romantic "county" feel it had. I was giddy with excitement when I spotted the hay bales. I know, sounds strange, but living in the city has me missing the country. I wanted their engagement session to be perfect and it turned out even better than I imagined. It was really disappointing when their session was originally rained out but I'm so glad we rescheduled. The weather ended up being perfect.  We started off their session at the church camp Brian's family runs and there just happened to be a little row boat sitting around. I wasn't sure if Brian & Kylie would be willing to try it out but they were totally up for it. Needless to say, I was jumping inside because row boat photos have been on my photography bucket list for a while. I want to do it again though and this time I wanna be in a boat too. :) I can't wait till their wedding. I know it's going to be perfect and filled with so much love. I'm so thankful they chose me to be their photographer, it means the world to me. Hope you enjoy their pictures!! Thanks for stopping by.
